OK… I just did the math for ‘Calla Lilies’. Turns out, they are expensive!! Here are more ideas for bridal bouquets. Hopefully these aren’t as costly. 
First Florist Consultation February 25, 2009
Today, my mom and I met with a local florists to get more information on flowers for the wedding. The good news is that I can still have the ‘White, Black and Green’ color scheme… I was hoping that August was a good month for green flowers. Although some flowers are immediately ‘nixed’ because they are not in season, there are a good amount of choices for our color scheme. During our ‘consultation’, we came to the conclusion that the bridal and bridesmaids bouquet will consist of calla lilies (although we are still exploring other options). Calla lilies are simple yet elegant at the same time. BUT, the bad news is that they are more expensive than most flower choices. If we do choose calla lilies for the bouquets, we will probably go with a different flower for the reception. Here are a few examples of calla lilies.
