I think that signature drinks are a decorative way to incorporate the color scheme of the wedding. Because I am leaning towards a Black, Green and White color scheme, here are some drinks and recipes that may go well with the color choice.
Mint Mojito
Ingredients…
- 2-3 oz white rum
- Juice of 1 lime
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2-4 sprigs of fresh mint
- Soda water
- Crushed ice
Method…
Combine mint, sugar and lime juice in a Collins glass. Muddle together (mash with a wooden spoon until the sugar dissolves and you smell the mint.) Fill the glass with desired amount of crushed ice, add rum, and fill to the top with soda water. Garnish with a lime wedge and mint sprig.


Apple Martini
Ingrdients…
- 1 part Stirrings Apple Martini Mixer
- 1 part Smirnoff Vodka
- Garnish: apple wedge
Method…
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add ingredients. Cover and shake vigorously. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with an apple wedge.
Smith’s Bellini (A simple, but stunning mix of Granny Smith apple juice and Champagne for a vibrantly green, sparkling cocktail.)
Ingredients…
- 1 part Stirrings Apple Martini Mixer
- 5 parts Champagne or sparkling wine
Method…
Pour Apple Mixer into a Champagne flute and top with Champagne. Stir gently!
Kiwi Kiss (Pucker Up and mix together Club Soda, vodka, lemon juice and Stirrings Simple Syrup)
Ingredients…
- 3/4 parts Stirrings Simple Syrup
- 1 part vodka
- 1 kiwi (peeled)
- 1/2 part fresh lemon juice
- spalsh of Stirrings Club Soda
Method…
Muddle kiwi in glass. Add vodka, lemon juice, Simple Syrup and crushed ice. Stir. Top with Club Soda and more crushed ice.
Don’t forget the kids!!
Virgin Apple Spritzer: (This is the nonalcoholic version of the classic Apple Martini.)
Ingredients…
- 1 part Stirrings Apple Martini Mixer
- 1 part Stirrings Club Soda
Method…
Pour ingredients over ice in a tall glass and stir!
Pear Spritzer : (A sparkling, nonalcoholic pear delight.)
Ingredients…
- 1 part Stirrings Club Soda
- 1 part Stirrings Pear Martini Mixer
Method…
Combine Club Soda with Pear Mixer over plenty of ice.
Personal Touch…
For some reason, I can not add a picture of something I really like. But, I will try to explain what it is. It is a toothpick that has a one inch by one inch piece of paper with the couples name on it (where is looks like a little flag). In the picture, they put the ‘toothpick’ in a lime/apple/pear for a personal touch for garnish. I definitely think this is something that I will have at my wedding if we choose to have a signature drink.
It is also suggested to have a ‘signature drink’ menu for your guest. It might look something like this.
